ASSEMBLY” STUDY Hebrews
10:25
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the
manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the
more, as ye see the day approaching.” Greek: “forsaking”- eqkataleipo
= to leave down in; to leave behind; to
desert; to give up; to utterly forsake and abandon.
It is a
strong word indicating a permanent state. “assembling”-
episunagoge meaning , coming together; coming
together of ourselves; gathering together; to assemble;
to draw together; to meet with. “as the manner of some
is”- ethos meaning custom or habit. “exhorting”- parakaleo
meaning to exhort in assembly; call near; to call
for; to call to one’s side; to appeal; to ask; to exhort; to
beseech; to beg; to urge; to request, to summon.
“so much the more”- tsoutoi mallon hosoi meaning by so much the
more as.
“see the day approaching”- eggizousan ten hemeran meaning The day
drawing nigh; drawing near the
