KNOWING JESUS

KNOW ginosko= to know:

1.   Matthew 7:23 “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:

    depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

2.   John 1:10-12 “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, ad the world knew him not.  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: ”

3.   John 8:32 “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”

4.   John 8:55 “Yet ye have not known him(God); but I know(oida) him: and if I should say, I know(oida) him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know(oida) him, and keep his saying.”

5.   John 10:14 “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.”

6.   John 10:38 “But If I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the father is in me, and I in him.”

7.   John 14:7 “If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.”

8.   John 14:9 “Jesus saith unto Philip, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?  He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

9.   John 17:3 “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

10. I John 2:3-5 “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.  He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.  But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.”

11. I John 3:18-19 “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.  And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.”

12. I John 3:24 “And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him.  And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.”

13. I John 4:2 “Hereby know ye the Spirit of god: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:”

14. I John 4:6-8 “We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us, Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.  Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.  He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is love.”

15. I John 4:13 “Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.”

16. I John 5:20 “And we know(oida) that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ.  This is the true God, and eternal life.”

 

KNOW oida=to see, have seen, known:

1.   John 14:5-6 “Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

2.   II Timothy 1:12 “For I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him, against that day.”

3.   I John 3:14-15 “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.  He that loveth not his brother abided in death.  Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.”

4.   I John 5:13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

 

KNOW epiginosko= to know about or fully:

1.   Matthew 7:16-18 “Ye shall know them by their fruits.  Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.”

2.   Matthew 7:20-23 “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father, which is in heaven. 

Many will say to me in the day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?  And in thy name have cast out devils?  And in they name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto the, I never knew(ginosko) you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
