RELATIONSHIP Note: From Acts 1-8
references are made only of the term apostles. In Acts 11 it is noted
that it was apostles and brethren and then for the first time a reference
is made of apostles and elders in Acts 15. 1.
Acts 9:27 “But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles…and
Saul was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem. 2.

before me; but I went into Arabia and returned again unto Damascus.
After three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him
fifteen days. Other apostles
saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother.” 11.
I Peter 5:1 “The elders which are among you I exhort, who
am also an elder.” 12.
II Peter 1:1 “Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus
