FOR
ME TO DIE IS GAIN!
Philippians
1:21, 23-24
“For me to live(zao/zein=act
of living)is Christ(Christos=anointed King, Lord), and to die(apothnesko/apothanein=
to have died; die off or away) is gain(kerdos =gain, interest, profit).
For I am in a strait (sunecho/sunechomai =held together, to hem
together; hemmed in on both sides; pressed on both sides) betwixt two(ek
ton duo= out of; from the two; equal pull), having a desire(epithumia=a
passionate desire; great or over desire) to depart(analuo= to loose up as
an anchor; loosing a ship from its moorings; taking down one’s tent; to break
up camp), and to be with Christ(Christos-anointed King, Lord); which is far
better( kreisson=stronger; more powerful; very far better; much more
better). Nevertheless to abide(meno/epimeno=to
remain or continue; to cling to this present life) in the flesh(sarx/sarki=flesh
body) is more needful(anagkaios=necessary) for you.”
