REST IN THE LORD
1.
Matthew 11:28-29
“Come(deute=hither, here) unto me, all ye that labor(kapiao=to
be wearied out) and are heavy laden(phortizo=to burden), and I will give
you rest(anapausin=to rest again, or back, to cease from labor, to stop). Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I
am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest(anapausin=a
ceasing again, resting up) unto your souls(psuche=animal soul).
For my yoke(zugos=beam, balance) is easy(chrestos=useful,
good, kind), and my burden(phortion=load, to be borne) is light(elphros=not
heavy.”

“And he said unto them, Come(deute=hither, here) ye yourselves apart(idian=by
themselves) into a desert place(eremos=solitary) and rest(anapauomai=to
rest again or back, cease from labor, pause) a
while(oligon=a little, in a small degree): for there were many(polus-much)

had no leisure(eukaireo=to have a favorable opportunity)so much as to eat(phago=eat).”

short of it.”

resting down), as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, If
