LORD’S SUPPER/PASSOVER AS A LOVE FEAST

1.      Matthew 26:26-27(Mark 14:22-23; Luke 22:19-20; John 13:1-2) “As they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples…And he took the cup, and gave thanks and gave it to them…”

2.      The Greek for Love Feast is specifically mentioned twice in the New Testament.  Jude 12 “Your feasts of love.” and II Peter 2:13 “While they feast with you.”

3.      An account of the Lord’s Supper is given in I Corinthians 11:20-34 “When you come together therefore in one place it is not (possible) to eat the Lord’s Supper…”

4.      In Acts 2:42 “They continued steadfastly in breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness(leaping for joy) and singleness of heart.”

5.      According to Acts 20:7 “And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread…”
