FIRST CENTURY CHRISTIANITY

1.      The early believers knew the Lord Jesus Christ experientially, for they share life in Him and with Him.

2.      The death and resurrection of Jesus was the passion of their life and message.

3.      They depended upon the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit for the Lord’s ministry to work through them according to Jesus’ promise.

4.      The early believers continued to fellowship, encourage and edify one another as they “broke bread” from house to house.

5.      They shared their personal relationship with their Lord through relationally witnessing to people everywhere they went.

6.      They maintained their fellowship and unity with one another in Jesus Christ.

7.      They were committed and obedient to His Word.

8.      They kept things simple and uncomplicated in accordance with Jesus’ life, teachings and commands.

9.      They so yielded their lives to Him as to allow Him to live His life in and through them daily.

10.  They loved one another as Christ love them and by this the world knew that they were His disciples and were in turn drawn to Him.
