parakaleo meaning to exhort; call near; to call for; to call to one’s side; to
appeal; to ask; to exhort; to beseech; to beg; to urge; to request, to summon.
1. Acts 2:40 “And with
many other words did he(Peter)testify and exhort,
saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.”
2. Acts 11 :23 “Who,
when he(Barnabas)came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted
them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.”
3. Acts 14:22 “(Paul and
Barnabas)Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to
continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the
