1.     Acts 1:13-26 “And when they were come in, they went up into an upper

      room, where abode PeterPeter stood up in the midst of the disciples   

      and said…”

2.     Acts 2:1,14Peter standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and

      said unto them…”

3.     Acts 2:41-47 “They continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine…and

      many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

6.     Acts 5:3-42Peter said, Ananias…Peter answered Sapphira…Peter said

      unto her…and by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders

                  wrought…Shadow of Peter passing by…laid their hands of the apostles   

                  and put them into prison…Peter and the other apostles answered and

                  said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”

 

7.     Acts 8:14, 20 “Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that

     Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and

     John: But Peter said unto Simon the socerer…”

 

8.     Acts 9:31-43 “As Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down

      also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda…and Peter said to Aeneas…For

      as much as Lydda  was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that

      Peter was there, they sent unto him…Peter rose and went into the upper

      chamber and put them all forth…When she saw Peter, she sat up…And it

      was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.  Peter

      tarried many days in Jopa with one Simon a tanner.”

 

9.     Acts 10:1-48Peter entered into Caesarea and Cornelius waited for

      them…”

 

10.  Acts 11:1-30 “And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard

       that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.  And when Peter

       was come up to Jersalem, that that were of the circumcision contended

       with him…Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning…”

11. Acts 12:1-25 “Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his

      hands to vex certain of the church.  and he killed James the brother of

      John with the sword.  And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he

      proceeded further to take Peter also.  Peter was kept in prison: but

      prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him…Peter

      came to the house  of Mary the mother of John Mark; where many were

      gathered together praying.”

 

12. Acts 15:4, 7, 22 “And when they(Paul & Barnabas) were come to

      Jerusalem, they were received  of the church: and of the apostles and

      elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them…Peter

      rose up and said…Then it pleased the apostles and elders, with the whole

      church…”

13. Galatians 1:18 “Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see

      Peter, and abode  with him fifteen days.  But other of the apsotles saw I

      none, save James the Lord’s brother.

 

14. Galatians 2:7-8, 11,14 “As the gospel of the circumcision was committed

      unto Peter…God wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the

      circumcision…But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to

      the face…I said to Peter…”

3.     Acts 11:19-26 “Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution

that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Antioch…preaching the Lord

Jesus.  Some of them were were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when   

they were come to Antioch, spake…preaching Jesus.  And the hand of the

Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the

Lord.  Then the tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church

which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas(a good man full of the

Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.  then

departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: And when he had found him,

he brought him unto Antioch.  And it came to pass, that a whole year

they(Barnabas and Saul) assembled themselves with the church and taught

much people.  And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”                                                      

4.     Romans 15:20 “So I have strived to preach the Gospel, not where Christ

    was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation.”   

5.     Galatians 2:7-9 “When they saw that the gospel  of the uncircumcision was

     committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he

     that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the

     same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) And when James, Cephas, and

     John, who seemed to be pillars , perceived the grace that was givne unto me,

     they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; tha we should

     go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.”

6.     Acts 20:29-32 “For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous

  wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.  Also of your ownselves  

  shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after

  them.  Therefore watch, and remember that by the space of three years I

  ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.  And now, brethren,

  I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build

  you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are

  sanctified.”

 

SCRIPTURAL ACCOUNTS THAT INCLUDE ALL APOSTLES:

 

1.     Acts 1:14-26 “These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the

                            women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren…And they

     prayed and gave forth their lots; and Matthias was numbered with the    

     eleven apostles.”

2.     Acts  2:1-47 “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one

   accord in one place…And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and

   began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance…And

   they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in

   breaking of bread, and in prayers…And fear came upon every soul: and

   many wonders and signs were done by the apostles…had all things

   common…sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as

   every man had need…continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and

   breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and

   singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people.  

   And the Lord add to the church daily such as should be saved.”

3.     Acts 4:23-37 “And being let go, they went to their own company(house)and reported all

   that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.  And when they heard

   that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord…And when they had

   prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together:…And

   with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord

   Jesus:…And they laid prices of the things that were sold and laid them

   down at the apostles’ feet…”

4.     Acts 5:2, 12, 18, 29, 34, 40-42 “And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy

   to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet…And by

   the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the

   people…And they laid hands on the apostles, and put them in the prison   

   …Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey  

  God rather than man…Then stood up one in the council, a Pharisee named

  Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and

  commanded to put the apostles forth a little space…And when they had

  called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not

  speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go…and they departed

  rejoicing…and daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to

  teach and preach Jesus Christ.”

5.     Acts 6:6  “Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their

hands on them.”

6.     Acts 8:1, 14, 18 “And they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea

            and Samaria, except the apostles…Now when the apostles which were at

            Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto

            them Peter and John…And when Simon saw that through laying on of the

            apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money…”

7.     Acts 9:26-31 “But Barnabas took Saul, and brought him to the apostles, and declared

unto them how Saul had seen the Lord in the way…

8.     Acts 11:1 “And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles

had also received the word of God…”

9.     Acts 15:2, 4, 6, 22, 23, 33 “(Antioch)They determined that Paul and Barnabas, and

certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders

about this question…And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were

received of the apostles and elders…And the apostles and elders came

together for to consider of this matter…Then it please the apostles and

elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to

Antioch…And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles

and elders and brethren send greeting…And after they had tarried there a

space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.”

10. Acts 16:4 “And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to

keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at

Jerusalem.”

 

SCRIPTURAL ACCOUNTS OF SEVEN MEN OF ACTS 6:

I.  PHILIP-

1.     Acts 6:5 “And it please the whole multitude: and they chose Philip…”

2.     Acts 8:5-40 “Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them…hearing and seeing the miracles  which he did…possessed with spirits, palsies, lame were healed…When they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, bother man and women…And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go towrard the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaze, which is desert.  And he arose and went and behold, a man of Ethiopia…The Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip…But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

3.     Acts 21:8-10 “Paul’s company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.  And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.”

II.   STEPHEN-

1.     Acts 6:5, 8, 9 “And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose

Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy ghost…And Stephen, full of faith and power did great wonders and miracles among the people…And there arose certain of the synagogue, disputing with Stephen…”

2.     Acts 7:59 “And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord

Jesus, receive my spirit…”

3.     Acts 8:2 “And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great

lamentation over him…”

4.     Acts 11:19 “Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution  

that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and  

Antioch, preaching the word …”

5.     Acts 22:20 “When the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was

   standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them
