APOSTLES MINISTERING IN PLURALITY

1.      Acts 2:14Peter standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them…”

2.      Acts 3:1Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer.”

3.      Acts 4:36-38 “And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, which is being interpreted, the son of consolation, a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus.”

4.      Acts 11:22, 25-26 “Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.  Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:  And when he had found him he brought him unto Antioch.”

5.      Acts 13:1 “Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius(Romans 16:21Lucius, my kinsmen”) of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.”

11.  Acts 12:12, 25; 13:5, 13; 15:36-41Peter came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.  And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.  And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and  they had also John(Mark) to their minister.  Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John(Mark) departing form them returned to Jerusalem.  And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.  But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.  And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; And Paul chose Silas, and departed through Syria and Cilicia.” (Colossians 4:10) “Marcus, sister’s son to Barnabas.” (II Timothy 4:11) “Only Luke is with me(Paul).  Take Mark, and bring him with thee (Timothy): for he is profitable to me for the ministry.” (Philemon 23-24) “There salute thee Epaphras, Marchus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlaborers.” (I Peter 5:13) “The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.”  (Author of the Gospel of Mark!)

12.  Acts 16:1 “Then came he(Paul)to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, name Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek: Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium. Him(Timothy) would Paul have to go forth with him.”(I Thessalonians 1:1; 2:6) “Paul, Silvanus(Silas) and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians, as the apostles of Christ.” (I Timothy 4:14) “(Timothy)Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.” (II Timothy 1:6) “Wherefore I(Paul) thee(Timothy)in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.”

15.  Acts 18:1-2, 18Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth; and found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Pricilla;  and because he(Paul)was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.  And Paul then took leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquilla;  And Apollos began to speak boldly in the synagogue; whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto him, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.” (Romans 16:3) “Greet Prisilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:” (I Corinthians 16:19) “The churches of Asia salute you.  Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.” (II Timothy 4:19) “Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphrous.”
