SILENCE IN THE ASSEMBLY

Greek Definitions:

hesuchia = quietness, stillness

sigao = to be silent, quiet

sige = silence, quietness

phimoo = to muzzle, silence

  1. MEN: I Corinthians 14: 28 “But if there be no interpreter(tongues), let him keep silence ( sigao ) in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.”

  2. MEN: I Corinthians 14:30 “If any thing be revealed (prophetically) to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace (sigao).

  3. MEN: I Corinthians 14:32 “And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.”
