Greek Definitions: Bishops- episkopos= overseers, caretakers, guardians,

                         protectors, guides, directors, to look after, to

    manage, to guard, to give oversight.

                                      Elders- prebuteros= aged persons, mature, experienced,

   tested, faithful.

                                     Pastors- poimen= shepherds, tend, protect, guide, guard.

A.  BISHOPS:

1.   Acts 1:20 “For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishopric(episkope= oversight) let another take.”

2.   Philippians 1:1 “Paul and Timotheus, the servants(doulos=slave) of Jesus Christ, to all the saints(hagios=set apart, holy) in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops(episkopos=overseer, superintendent) and deacons(diakonos=ministrant, servant) :”
