Old Testament Promises: THAT YE SIN NOT (Exodus 20:20) “And Moses said unto the people, fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.” CLEAN, ENDURING FOREVER (Psalm 19:9) “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.” TEACH THE WAY, DWELL AT EASE, HIS SEED INHERITS THE EARTH (Psalm 25:12-13) “What man is he that feareth the Lord? Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.” SECRET OF THE LORD, SHOW HIS COVENENT (Psalm 25:14) “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him: and he will shew them his covenant.” NO WANT, I WILL TEACH YOU (Psalm 34:9, 11) “O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. GREAT FEAR (Acts 5:5, 11) “And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.” REST, EDIFIED, WALKING IN FEAR OF THE LORD, COMFORT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, WERE MULTIPLIED (Acts 9:31) “Then had the churches rest throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, were multiplied.” CLEANSE OURSELVES, PERFECTING HOLINESS (II Corinthians 7:1) “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION (Philippians 2:12) “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
