DEMONIC INFLUENCE ON BELIEVERS
-
Jesus Tempted:
Matthew 4:1-11 “Then was Jesus
led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to
be tempted of the devil…1.) Devil:
If thou be the Son of god, command that these stones
be made bread. Jesus: It is written, Man
shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth
out of the mouth of God. 2.) Devil:
If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for
it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee:
and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time
thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus:
It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Devil: All these kingdoms of the world and the
glory of them will I give thee, if thou wilt
fall down and worship me. Jesus: Get thee
hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy
God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

Temptations: I John 2:6 “For all

Eden Temptation: Genesis 3:1-6

We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: but of the
fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath
said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye
die. 2.) Serpent: Ye shall not surely die:
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes
shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Woman: And when the woman saw
that the tree was 1.) good for
food, and that it was (2. pleasant to the
eyes, and a tree to be 3.) desired to
make one wise, she took of the fruit
thereof and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her;
and he did eat.”
-
Luke 4:31-36
“And he came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught
them on the Sabbath days. And they were
astonished at his doctrine:
for his word was with power.
And in the synagogue there was a man, which
had an unclean devil, and cried out with a
loud voice, Saying, Let us alone;
what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus
of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy
us? I know thee who thou art; the
Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him,
saying, Hold thy peace, and come
out of him. And when the devil
had thrown him in the midst, he
came out of the him, and hurt him not. And they were
all amazed, and spake among themselves,
saying, What a word is this! For with
authority and power he
commandeth the unclean spirits,
and they come out.”

goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more
wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the
last state of that man is worse than the first.”

God, but those that be of men.”
-

bringing into captivity every thought
to the obedience of Christ;”

high places.”
-
Whole Armor
of God: Ephesians 6:13-18 “Wherefore take unto you

about with truth, and having on
the breastplate of righteousness; And your
feet shod with the
preparation of the gospel of peace; Above
all, taking the shield of faith,
wherewith ye shall be able to quench all
the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the
sword of the Spirit, which is the word of
God: Praying always with
all prayer and supplication
in the Spirit, and watching
thereunto with all perseverance and
supplication for all saints.”

stablish, strengthen,
settle you.”
