Confession is the
Greek word homologeo meaning to speak the same
thing.
I John 1:9

meaning error, to miss the mark, to offend, to transgress,
lawlessness, short of God’s perfection and glory.

attention to, to give unceasing care to, to wait steadfastly
upon, to persevere, true to His nature and promises.

meaning righteous, right, absolute rightness, honest, true,
righteous behavior. Also not deceptive, lying, cheating,
stealing, meanness, misbehavior, irresponsible

Forgive =
aphiemi meaning to send, away, to release, remission, to let go,
pay debt.

katharizo meaning to make clean, clear, wiped out or away,
blotted out, destroyed, removed, canceled.

= adikia meaning to injustice, wrong acts, bad deeds, contrary
to God’s nature.
Confess = Say the
same thing God says about sin:
