ACTS: TIMES THE WORD "HOLY SPIRIT/GHOST" APPEARS
- 1:1-2
" The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus,
of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in
which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost
had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:"
- 1:3-4
"To whom also he shewed himself alive after his
passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty
days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of
God: And being assembled together with them commanded them that
they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the
promise of the Father, which, saith he, Ye have heard of
me."
- 1:5
"For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be
baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence."
- 1:8
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy
Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me
both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto
the uttermost part of the earth."
- 1:15-16
"And in those days Peter stood up in the midst
of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were
about an hundred and twenty,) Men and brethren, this scripture
must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by
the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was
guide to them that took Jesus..."
- 2:4
"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and
began to speak with other tongues, as they Spirit gave them
utterance."
- 2:16-19
"But this is that which was spoken by the
prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith
God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and
your sons and your daughter shall prophesy, and your young men
shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: and on
my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days
of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy..."
- 2:32-33
"This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all
are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted,
and having received of the father, the promise of the Holy
Ghost, he hath sent forth this which ye now see and hear."
- 2:38
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of
sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel."

boldness."

together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the
feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and
shall carry thee out."
- 5:32 "And we are his witnesses of these thing; and so
is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that
obey him."

men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost, and wisdom,
whom we may appoint over this business."
- 6:5 "And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and
they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost,
and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and
Pharmenas, and Nocolas a proselyte of Antioch:"
- 7:51 "Ye stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and
ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers
did, so do ye."
- 7:51 "But Steven, being full of the Holy Ghost,
looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and
Jesus standing on the right hand of God."
- 8:14-15 "Now when the apostles, which were at
Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they
sent unto them Peter and John: Who, when they were come down,
prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:"
- 8:16-17 "(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only
they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then laid
they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost."
- 8:18-20 "And when Simon saw that through laying on of
the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered
them money, saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever
I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto
him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou has thought that
the gift of God may be purchased with money."
- 8:29 "Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go
near, and join thyself to this chariot. And Philip ran thither
to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said,
Understandest thou what thou readest?"
- 8:39-40 "And when they were come up out of the water,
the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that
the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached
in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea." (Note: Acts
21:8-10)
- 9:17-18 "And Ananias went his way, and entered into
the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the
Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou
camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and
be filled with the Holy Ghost."

Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear
of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were
multiplied."
- 10:19-21 "While Peter thought on the vision, the
Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee. Arise
therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting
nothing: for I have sent them. The Peter went..."

Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and
healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with
him."
- 10:44-45 "While Peter yet spake these words, the
Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they
of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as
came with Peter because that on the Gentiles also was poured out
the gift of the Holy Ghost."
- 10:46-47 "For they heard them speak with tongues, and
magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that
these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy
Ghost as well as we? And he commended them to be baptized in
the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain
days."
- 11:12 "And the Spirit bade me go with them,
nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me,
and we entered into the man's house"
- 11:15-17 "And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost
fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Then remembered I the
word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with
water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did
unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that
I could withstand God?"
- 11:24 "For Barnabas was a good man, and full of the
Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto
the Lord. Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus for to seek Saul; And

to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the
church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called
Christians first in Antioch."

and prophesied. And all the men were about twelve."

Spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall
befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in
every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me."

flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to

days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should
not go up to Jerusalem."

hands of the Gentiles."
- 28:25 "And when they agreed not among themselves,
they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake
the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers..."
