SATAN AND DEMONS

1.            Genesis 1:2 “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.”

2.            Genesis 3:1 “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.  And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”

3.            Genesis 3:4 “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”

4.            Genesis 3:14 “And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:’

5.            Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

6.            Job 1:6, 9- “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.  And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou?  Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, from going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.  Then Satan said, Doth Job fear God for nought?  Hast not Thou made an hedge about him, and bout his house, and about all that he hath on every side?  And the Lord said to Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand.  So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.”

7.            Isaiah 14:12-17 “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer (praise, pomp, glory) son of the morning!  How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.  Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.”

8.            Matthew 4:1-11 “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be temped of the devil…And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread…”It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God…If thou be the Son of god, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee…It is written, thou shalt not temp the Lord thy God…All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me…Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve”

9.            Matthew 6:13 “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one:”

10.        Matthew 12:29 “How can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man?  And then he will spoil his house.”

11.        Matthew 12:43-45 “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth empty, swept, and garnished.  Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.”

12.        Matthew 18:34-35 “And the Lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.”

13.        Mark 3:15 “And Jesus ordained twelve, that they should be with him…and He sent them forth…to cast out demons.”

14.        Mark 16:17 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out demons;”

15.        Luke 10:17-18 “And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, even the demons are subject unto us through thy name.  And Jesus said unto them, I behold Satan as lightning fall from heaven.  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

16.        John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:”

17.        John 16:11 “The prince of this world is judged.”

21.        II Corinthians 4:4 “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

22.        II Corinthians 10:3-5 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exhalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every though to the obedience of Christ.”

29.        Hebrews 12:7-11 “If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 32.        I Peter 4:1-2 “Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.”

33.        Jude 6 “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.”

34.        I Peter 5:8 “Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

35.        I John 4:4 “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.”

36.        Revelation 9:1-11 “And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of the great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.  And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.”

37.        Revelation 12:4 “And the dragon’s tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:”

38.        Revelation 12:7 “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

40.        Revelation 12:10-11 “The accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.  And they overcame the accuser by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea!  For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”
