    REPENT/REPENTANCE

     

    Greek:

    • metanoeo =to have another mind, to change one’s mind or purpose, to change one’s opinion.

    • metanoia = a change of mind, a change of mind on reflection that leads to a forsaking

     

    1.      Matthew 3:2 “John the Baptist: Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

    2.      Matthew 3:8 “John the Baptist: Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:”

    3.      Matthew 3:11 “John the Baptist: I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I cam not worthy to bear: He shall baptize you with the Holy ghost, and with fire:”
