Convict

John 16:8 “When the Holy Spirit is come, He will reprove
(elegoho=expose, convict, convince, rebuke) the world (kosmos=present
condition unbelieving humanity, alienate from and opposed to God) of sin
(hamartia=missing mark, falling short, transgression, crookedness,
going astray) and of righteousness (dikaiosune=character or
quality of being right or holy which is Christ’s righteousness) and of
judgment (krisis=separating, and then a decision, God’s judgment).
