1.      One who speaks forth or openly or speaks out concerning the things of God.

2.      A proclaimer of a divine message.

3.      To forth-tell “Thus saith the Lord” based on God’s Word.

4.      To foretell on the basis of the Word of God.

5.      To proclaim God’s truth to specific situations or persons.

6.      To reveal unrighteous motives or acts by presenting God’s truth.

7.      To be persuasive in speech in bringing to light things previously hidden.
