    FEED/PASTOR/PASTURE/SHEPHERD/TEND

     

    1. Feed is the Greek word basko meaning to pasture as in John 21:15, 17 “Feed my lambs and feed my sheep”
    1. Pastor is the Greek word poimen meaning  to shepherd as in Ephesians 4:11 “Pastors-teachers”(This word is used only one time in all the N.T.)
    1. Pasture is the Greek word bosko meaning to lead to pasture as in John 21:15, 17 “Feed my lambs and feed my sheep”
    1. Shepherd is the Greek word anthropos meaning to tend sheep as in John 21:16 “Feed my sheep”
    1. Tend is the Greek word poimaino meaning to tend as a shepherd as in I Corinthians 9:7 “Feed the flock of God” and I Peter 5:2 “Feed the flock of God”

     

    NOTE:

    1. NOT used is the Greek word trepho meaning to nourish as in Matthew 6:26 “Your heavenly Father feedeth them” and Luke 12:14 “Consider the ravens, God feedeth them”
    1. NOT use the Greek word psomizo meaning to feed in small bites to a child as in Romans 12:20 “If thine enemy hunger, feed him” and I Corinthians 13:3 “Though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor”
