“SECRET” WORD STUDY
Throughout the Scripture the word for "secret" that is used in the Hebrew and
Greek can mean: to hide, hidden, hidden away, hiding place, to conceal,
private, covert amd remain silent

Genesis 3:27 “Wherefore didst thou
flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and didst not
tell me.”

Genesis 49:6 “O my soul,
come not thou into their secret:”

Deuteronomy 13:6-8 “If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or
thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is
as thine own soul, entice thee secretly…Thou shalt not consent unto
him, nor hearken unto him.”

Deuteronomy 29:29 “The secret
things belong to the Lord our God: but those things which are
revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all
the words of this law.”
