  1. JESUS DEATH

     

    OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECY

    1. Genesis 3:15 “I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed, it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel.”(Hebrews 2:14)

    2. Psalm 22:1 “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”(Matthew 27:46)

    3. Psalm 22:13, 16, 18 “They gaped upon me with their mouths as a ravening and roaring lion.  They pierced my hands and my feet.  They part my garments among them and cast lots upon my vestures.”(Luke 23:34; John 19:23-24)

    4. Psalms 34:20 “He keepeth all His bones, not one of them is broken.”(John 19:36)

    5. Psalms 69:21 “They gave me also gall for my meat, and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.”(Matthew 27:34; Mark 15:23; John 19:29)

    6. Psalms 109:25 “I became also a reproach unto them, when they looked upon me they shake their heads.” (Matthew 27:39)

    7. Isaiah 52:14 “Many were astonished at thee, his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men.”

    8. Isaiah 53:7 “He was oppressed, and he was afflicted yet he opened not his mouth, he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before his shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.”

    9. Isaiah 53:12 “He was numbered with the transgressors and bare the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors.”

     

    JESUS’ PROPHECY:

    1. Matthew 16:4 “Jesus began to show unto His disciples how that He must go unto Jerusalem and suffer many things of the elders and the chief priests and scribes and be killed.”

    2. Matthew 17:22-23 “The Son of Man shall be betrayed into the hands of men.  They shall kill him.”

    3. Matthew 20:18-19 “We go up to Jerusalem and the Son of Man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and scribes and they shall condemn Him to death.  And He shall be delivered to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify Him.”

    4. Matthew 26:12 “The Son of Man is betrayed to be crucified.”

     

    EPISTLE ACCOUNTS:   

    1. John 10:17-18 “I lay down my life that I might take it up again.  No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself.”

    2. Romans 5:8 “God commended His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

    3. I Corinthians 1:17 “For Christ sent me not to baptize but to preach the gospel; not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.  For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”

    4. I Corinthians 15:3 “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”

    5. II Corinthians 5:19 “God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself.”  God made Him to be sin for us who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”

    6. Galatians 3:13 “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the Law being made a curse for us.  IT is written: Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree.”

    7. Galatians 4:4 “When the fullness of time was come, God sent forth His Son made of a woman, made under the Law to redeem them that were under the Law that we might receive the adoption of sons.”

    8. Colossians 1:14, 20 “In Christ we have redemption through His blood even the forgiveness of sins having made peace through the blood of His cross by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself.”

    9. Colossians 2:14-15 “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross and having spoiled principalities and powers He made a show of them openly triumphing over them in it.”

    10. I Thessalonians 4:14 “We believe that Jesus died and rose again.”

    11. Hebrews 1:3 “When Christ who had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of Majesty on high.”

    12. Hebrews 1l:10 “We are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all.”

    13. Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross despising the shame and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

    14. Revelation 1:5-6 “Unto Him that loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood and hath made us kings and priests unto God the Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”(Revelation 5:9)

    15. Revelation 5:12 “Saying with a loud voice, worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.”
