SCRIPTURES ON HEALING
“Faith
cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)
- Exodus 15:26 “If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God,
and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his
commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these
diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I
am the God that healeth thee.”
- Psalms 103:1-3 “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his
holy name. Bless the
Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all
thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;”
- Psalms 107:19-21 “Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them
out of their distresses. He
sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their
destructions. Oh that men
would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to
the children of men”
- Proverbs 3:5-8 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine
own understanding. In all
thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart
from evil. It shall be
health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.”
- Proverbs 4:20-22 “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of
thine heart. For they are
life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”
- Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with
his stripes we are healed.”
I Peter 2:24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his
body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto
righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” Matthew
8:16-17 “When the even was come, they brought unto him many that
were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word,
and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was
spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities,
and bare our sicknesses.”
- Malachi 4:2-3 “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness
arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go out and
leaplike calves released from the stall. Then you will trample down the wicked; for they shall be
ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this,
saith the Lord of hosts.”
- Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall
find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh
findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Or what man is there of you, whom his son ask bread, will he
give him a stone? Or if
he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your
children, how much more shall you Father which is in heaven give
good things to them that ask him?”
- Matthew 18:19-20 “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth
as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them
of my Father which is in heaven.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there
am I in the midst of them.”
- Mark 11:23-24 “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this
mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall
not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which
he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he
saith. There I say unto
you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye
receive them, and ye shall have them.”
- Mark 16:17-18 “These signs shall follow them that believe… In my name they
shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
- Luke 5:16-17 “And Jesus withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
And the power of the Lord was present to heal.”
- John 14:12-14 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the
works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these
shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
And what so ever ye shall ask in my name,
that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son..
If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.”
- Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”
- James 5:14-16 “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church;
and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the
Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord
shall raise him, up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be
forgiven him. Confess
your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may
be healed. The effectual
fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
